Rug Samples
Rug samples are available for loan at our showrooms and we encourage customers to borrow samples to trial at home.
Please note that not all rugs are available in samples, so we recommend visiting or contacting us to request the specific sample you need.

Rug Underlay
We recommend using an underlay to prevent movement and protect your rug.
However, for certain rugs, an underlay may not be necessary.
For details on purchasing underlays please contact our team here.

Variations | size and colour
Due to the hand-made nature of our rugs, variations in size and colour will occur. The dimensions of your rug may vary by up to 3% from the measurements provided at the time of order. This small discrepancy is a natural outcome of the artisanal process and adds to the unique character of each rug.
When it comes to colour, every effort is made to ensure consistency; however, some variation is inevitable. Factors such as dye lots, natural fibres, and the washing process can result in subtle differences in colour. In line with the Australian Standard for Carpet Colour Variation, variation of up to 5% is considered acceptable. This slight difference in colour adds to the distinctiveness of each rug, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Colour Fastness
Natural fibres are sensitive to sunlight, and exposure will inevitably lead to some colour fade over time. The duration of sunlight exposure is a key factor. To preserve the vibrancy of your rug, we suggest you minimise exposure to harsh sunlight.
An effective way to reduce fading is to rotate your rug regularly. This method will distribute the sun exposure more evenly, which helps to prevent one area from fading more quickly than others.

Furniture Indentations
Heavy furniture can cause indentations in your rug by compressing the pile under its weight. Over time, this pressure can flatten the fibres and leave noticeable marks. To minimize these indentations, consider using furniture caps or pads under the legs of your furniture. These protective caps distribute the weight more evenly and reduce the pressure on your rug. Additionally, regularly rotating your rug can help prevent uneven wear and lessen the impact of indentations.

Where can I purchase a Bayliss rug?
You can purchase a Bayliss rug online or in-store from a stockist, which you can find here.

Warranty Policy | Trade and Wholesale Customers
Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, they are not covered by an unconditional warranty. However, Bayliss Rugs will evaluate any rug for structural defects within 12 months of purchase and determine if it qualifies for repair or replacement, provided it has been used in normal domestic settings and cared for according to our maintenance guidelines, available on the back of your Bayliss rug or on our website. The decision to repair or replace is at the sole discretion of Bayliss Rugs, and we reserve the right to attempt repairs prior to offering a replacement.
In cases where a replacement is required, we will provide the same rug if available. If the original is no longer in stock, a comparable product of equal value will be offered. Please note, this warranty is voided by improper or negligent use. The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper cleaning, chemical exposure, water or flood damage, fading due to sunlight, misuse, resizing, pet accidents, or general wear and tear.
Manufacturing variations, as previously described, are not classified as defects.
To initiate a warranty claim, please submit photographic evidence to support your request.
